Will Help Celebrate 10th Annual Event in Provincetown
July 19, 2005 -- WASHINGTON, DC -- The Family Pride Coalition is proud to announce that IBM will become a Presenting Sponsor of Family Pride’s Family Week in Provincetown. This marks the fourth year that IBM has generously supported the Family Pride Coalition as a corporate sponsor.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of Family Week in Provincetown. The gathering, which attracts hundreds of families from all over the United States and abroad, will take place July 30-Aug. 5.
“I am so pleased to have IBM returning as a corporate sponsor of Family Week, and to increase the level of their generosity to the Presenting Sponsor level in a show of support to LGBT-headed families,” said Jennifer Chrisler, executive director of the Family Pride Coalition. “IBM has a long commitment to diversity, shown through their equitable treatment of LGBT employees, as well as their financial support of LGBT organizations. We deeply appreciate their partnership, and value the opportunity to work together to continue to support and protect our families.”

Family Week activities include workshops and social activities for parents and their children. The Family Pride Coalition has again invited COLAGE (Children of Lesbians and Gays Everywhere) to offer social and educational programming for youth nine years and older. Some of the additional adventures include whale-watching tours, barbecues, beach parties, a family parade and a family dance.
