We believe that all loving families must be recognized, respected, protected, and celebrated. Consequently, Family Pride is committed to being an agent of change. We recognize that family equality must be achieved at every level—at home, at work, at school. Therefore, we are committed to making bold, strategic strides towards family equality in all aspects of life.

> Hearts and Minds :: We must fundamentally shift the way our families are talked about and treated.

> Law :: Federally recognized legal relationships between our family members is of fundamental importance. Too many LGBTQ parents have no legal relationship to their children at all, which puts their families at risk.

> School :: We must protect all children so that they can be free to learn and grow at school.

> Creating Access :: Whether we are struggling to find affordable ways to create and protect our families or we are challenged by the need to include, communicate and listen to one another more effectively, LGBTQ-headed families need access.

We have the strategy, we have inclusive and informative language and stories, we must explain how certain behavior affects our families. If we don’t, who will?
