> For Legal Help :: If you are experiencing custody problems, you are preparing to create your family, your relationship with some of your family members is changing or you just want to ensure that everyone in your family has legally recognized relationships with one another, we highly suggest that you:
- Step 1: Contact either or both of the following LGBTQ litigation agencies:
> Lambda Legal
> National Center for Lesbian Rights (NCLR)
> We also suggest that you consider contacting a lawyer who specializes in Family Law. Family Pride is not a legal organization.
- Step 2: Find and/or create a community of support:
> Locate the LGBTQA parents group in your area. If there isn’t one, we can help you get one started.
> Other LGBTQA parents have gone before youyou don't have to reinvent the wheel! We strongly believe that having a local network of support, comprised of other LGBTQ parents and allies can be invaluable. A local LGBTQA parents community is also important in terms of sharing contacts, such as lawyers and pediatricians. Family Pride is proud to be connected to over 100 LGBTQA parents groups nationwide.
- Step 3: Explore our publications.
