Family Week 2007

Update: download the Family Week program book by clicking here.

Family Pride Coalition is thrilled to partner with R Family Vacations to create “Provincetown Family Week”, a week-long LGBTQ family adventure in one of the most gay friendly destinations in the world. It is a chance for our children to meet other children with LGBTQ parents and for parents to meet other parents and share experiences.

Family Week will be structured differently than in past years. There is no registration fee. Every family who travels to Provincetown for family week can participate. R Family Vacations will produce all of the activities during the week including beach picnics, puppet workshops, dance class, themed dinners, and a Broadway Brunch (with real Broadway performers!). Family Pride has organized educational workshops and speakers as well as gatherings for various types of families.

There will be some events that require tickets and tons of activities that you just need to show up and get ready for some fun.

Workshops / Gatherings

Workshops will be held at the Pier and will inform, motivate and engage our families in the fight for family equality. Stay tuned for information on when and who will be presenting workshops.

As in past years, generous hosts, in collaboration with Family Pride, will again be gathering families together for opportunities to meet and connect. Last years gathering included Families with Guatemalan Children, Families with Asian children, a Grandparents Tea and Families with children of African and/or Caribbean descent. We will keep you up to date on all the gatherings scheduled.

Each year we pay special tribute to all of our generous Major Donors (and their families), whose gifts make it possible for us to do our work.
