When is the White House Egg Roll this year?
The egg roll will be held on the Monday after Easter. The date for the egg roll is Monday, April 9, 2007.
What time does it start?
The egg roll starts early Monday morning at around 8 am. When a family actually enters the White House lawn to participate depends on the tickets received. Tickets have timed entries every 15 minutes.
How do I get tickets?
In order to get tickets, one adult needs to stand in line on the ellipse outside of the White House beginning on Friday evening, April 6, 2007 at around 8 pm. Tickets are then distributed early Saturday morning. Each adult can get up to five tickets 2 for adults and three for children.

The White House Egg Roll is the largest public event focused on children and their families. It is a national event that draws press from across the country and around the world. It is also one of the few times during the year that the White House grounds are open to the public. Because of this -
What are the requirements for participating in the egg roll?
Any two adults can attend with up to three children. One child must be under the age of 8 in order to participate in the egg roll.
Will
Yes, we will announce a meet up location for all those people who want to participate with us in the egg roll. By being together in line we can ensure that the majority of our families enter the White House lawn for the egg roll at around the same time.
I can’t stand in line can I still participate?
Any family that wants to participate in the activities on the White House lawn will need to send at least one adult to stand in line Friday night. However, if you can’t stand in line, there are still ways to be involved with the egg roll. Visit the website and sign up to be a volunteer, come down on Monday morning to the meet location and stand in support of the families that will be participating on the White House lawn.
What happens if it rains?
If it’s raining on the morning of the event, the National Park Service makes a determination about whether to close the event. In the last three years, despite rain, the first hour of the event has always been held. Our goal is to be among the first four contingents admitted to the White House Lawn.
Will the media be there?
The White House Easter Egg Roll always has TV media and photographers on hand.
Is this a protest?
No, this is a celebration of our families. We want to give our fellow citizens the opportunity to see us as real families, participating in a great American tradition on the White House lawn. We believe that by participating fully as American families in traditions like the egg roll,
