building community ::
In our daily lives we draw strength from one another. While fighting for family equality we know it is so important to find one another, build relationships and stay connected. Build community:
> With Family Pride: Each year Family Pride hosts, co-hosts and sponsors events across the country. Our children and youth get the opportunity to see other families that are just as alike and just as different as their own. Together, in a safe space, we are reminded in a very real way that we are not alone. Our struggles, our joys and our challenges can all be shared; the collective burden is lessened when there are more than just two shoulders to carry the load. Family equality events are fun, great for the whole family and transformative. Join us!
> Locally: We are affected at the local levelthe school district, workplace, neighborhood association. We can be an invaluable resource to one anothersharing information about good lawyers, adoption agencies, principals, strategies for motivating your extended family,etc. Connect with people in your community!
> On the web: It is a great way to connect (see about you!), share and learn from people coast to coast!
