we’re LIVE from Provincetown’s Family Week!

It’s Saturday, July 28. That means that the Family Pride team, along with hundreds (perhaps thousands!) of LGBTQ families and allies are descending on the sandy shores of Provincetown, MA for the biggest and best Family Week yet.
Family Week is a fun filled week of workshops, gathering and special events aimed at LGBTQ parented families (you can read more about the week in a recent New York Times article). Thanks to our partnership with R Family Vacations, we’ll even have Broadway quality events and entertainment! So, if you’re sitting at home and can’t make it, don’t worry… we’re bringing the fun and excitement to you through our blog. Is anyone else bothered that this poster calls Family Week - R FAMILY WEEK?
Does R stand for Rosie?
Where was she? She doesn’t even send her kids to COLAGE or to the P Town events. She doesn’t support the week, other than to rip off gay families by overcharging for events and then running out of food - yet she now wants to brand it R FAMILY WEEK in honor of her!
It’s NOT R Family Week - it’s FAMILY WEEK! I was really bothered that R Family wants to relabel the week with their name and then on top of it - push out COLAGE from being there!
Please Family Pride - break your ties with R Family - they almost ruined Family Week this year! Family Week is not OWNED by anyone and can not be rebranded in the name of a talk show host or cruise company.
Yes, I was very disturbed to see R Family trying to change the name of Family Week. It was sad to see. Hopefully they won’t be back in 2008.
I too saw the new branding of trying to change Family Week to R Family Week. They can try to brand it whatever way they wish - it’s Family Week and from the poor mangement of the 2007 event, I doubt R Family will be putting their name on it in 2008! If they are there - I doubt that you will see many people paying $30.00 for a cold corn dog again.

I didn’t even notice that - now I have one more reason to dislike R Family Vacations - that want to BUY Family Week name and then change the name to Rosie’s Family Week - hell she doesn’t even show her face there and doesn’t even send her kids with Kelli. You shouldn’t BUY something you don’t even support!
