LIVE from the White House: Egg Roll blogathon

admin on Apr 5th 2007

Announcing LIVE from the White House, Family Pride’s all night Egg Roll blogathon on Friday, April 6. Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer parents and their families from all over the country will be braving the cold (it’s suppose to 28 degrees that night!) to secure tickets to this year’s White House Egg Roll.

We’ll be testing the limits of our stamina and technology alike as we bring you live coverage of the night’s events! We’ll upload pictures, commentary and maybe even a few videos.

We’re lining up at 7:00 PM outside the White House gates. We’ll be waiting in line all night as tickets aren’t available until 7:30 AM on Saturday morning. So, spread the word to family and friends, and if you can’t be at the White House, join us remotely! We’ll be glad to have the company!

Bookmark www.familypride.org/blog for Friday’s blogathon.

We are so sad that we can’t be in line with you, but we are there in spirit!
We will check in on everyone throughout the night!

    Our families rock!

Great good luck to you! Wish I could be there, too. How absurd that this is even necessary.

    Alas …

Thanks for the live updates. My husband was out all night trying to secure tickets for our family and reading your blog I could see what kind of conditions he was camping in. He complains about going every year, but he’s not fooling anyone…he really likes the comraderie that builds out there.
