lesbian moms to be featured on Fox’s Trading Spouses

Family Pride on Feb 2nd 2007

It’s been a busy week for our OUTSpoken families - it’s time to set your TiVo and VCR again! Family Pride is pleased to announce that one of our newest OUTSpoken families is going to be featured on Fox’s Trading Spouses tonight (check local listings) in a two-part episode.

Pepper and Judy are lesbian moms with two children, Corey and Shea and live in San Diego, CA. For more information about this family’s experience on Trading Spouses, check out GLAAD’s coverage.

This episode features the show’s first same-sex couple, and increases the visibility of LGBTQ-parented families. In this political climate, visibility is key for our families in changing hearts and minds across the country.

Congratulations to Pepper and Judy in this amazing victory - and thanks again to Mark and Andy, another OUTSpoken family, for their Oprah appearance earlier this week!

HOORAY FOR PEPPER LANE!! I was glad Pepper made Julie feel like a monster. I cannot beleive that people like Julie are still around. I am also glad to see Judy help change the Lane family values. I hope that Julie takes that experience and changes her and her family’s views of other people, ethnic backgrounds, and disibilities, and NO!, being gay is not a disibility!! I hope Julie will understand that.

I am a occasional watcher of trading spouses. For Pepper and her partner you go girls don’t let Julie make you feel bad about being lesbians cuz you know what you have beautiful children who respect you and sounds like you are a happy family.
As for Julie she is cold hearted bitch and yes a monster who wishes she had a loving family like yours it all comes down to her being jealous and will try and make you and your partner feel bad about your sexuality. You know what Julie Get a life cuz if you treated me that way in my home infront of my kids I would have beeten you sencesly. You r a cold hearted bitch and need help if anything you could learn a few things about being nice and respectful. I don’t know about you Julie you are nothing but negativity in these peoples life and they sure hell don’t need a friend like you. Pepper and to your family nice job and keep up the good caring loving life you r living because you sure deserve it remember don’t let people step all over you. I wish I could meet your family and experience your life. I promise you I am not a cold hearted bitch like Julie I like all people please contact me if you wish

Saw the show…thought that Pepper did well in tolerating the hypocrisy of the visiting mom…being a Native American/Hispanic female…I wanted to give her a piece of my mind….she needs a reality check big time….for her to say that Pepper made her feel unwelcomed was such a lie….from the beginning her attitude was so negative…like she stated she was being the Alpha Bitch…she needs a reality check big time…it is sad to know that people like her exist…I would like to see alot of this type of interaction on tv because believe it or not lesbian moms as well as gay dads do exist..KUDOS to them…they are just as good parents as well as if they were straight couples….Great job Fox…keep it going…..

I just saw the first part and I wanted to boot Julie in the face… that kind of ignorance towards humans should not be tolerated.
