Our families must be seen and heard! For most people in this country, LGBTQ-headed families are a nebulous, abstract concept. When people know who we are, what we look like, what we do and how we treat one another, it becomes clear that, regardless of sexual orientation and/or gender, love is truly what makes a family. Visibility is key in our strategic plan for victory (see making change)

> Being OUT ::

We want to encourage you to be as out as possible—the visibility of our families is key. We must connect the concept of LGBTQA-headed families with real faces and names in order to bridge that gap of misunderstanding, which is what often leads to ignorance and disrespect. People must first know that our families exist.

While we encourage you to be as out as you safely feel you can be, you know best what is safe for you and your family.
